Brominated Flame Retardant

Brominated Flame Retardant are not mined, but they are man made materials that are put into many electronics and household furnishings you use today. Brominated Flame Retardants are used to help the product not catch on fire as easily as it would before the flame retardant. When ever your phone gets warm after being charged or used, the brominated flame retardant keeps the phone from combusting and blowing up. So in a sense the brominated flame retardant is needed in order to be able to keep our cell phones. Brominated flame retardants are hard to break down and for their disposal, they are released into the environment. There are many types of brominated flame retardants, but depending on which one you have it will have a different type of toxicity to it.
